Orbs of May

I’m not sure how often this happens in a year, four times maybe? But this month, in my neck of the woods, we had a nice celestial event: an almost simultaneous sunset with a full moonrise. Of course, I couldn’t capture the awesomeness of these orbs as I would have liked, but here are the results:

21st of May; 20:03 - Sunset over the Pacific Ocean
21st of May; 20:03 – Sunset over the Pacific Ocean, Russian River in foreground.
2016-05-21 (70)
21st of May; 20:12 – Full moonrise over coastal foothills.

I got lucky the fog didn’t completely obscure either display.

And here’s our changing vineyard:

    1. Thank you! And thanks for the reminder. This month has completely got away from me. I’ll have to go out this evening with my camera and capture the last day of June.
